Network and Grid Computing Module

I have just been comfirmed that I have been enrolled on a 5th module for semester 2 of my second year of uni. When I was looking at my options I thought I couldn’t take the module as both my options are in semester 1, however over the summer and talking it over with friends I found out I could take an extra module in semester 2 which would allow me to do Grid Computing.

This means I’m going to have alot of work to do in semester 2 so alot less partying eh?

So what is Grid Computing? Grid computing is a form of distributed computing where you have a super computer made up networked computers acting to preform very large tasks which require a lot of processing time. An example task would be rendering animations like Pixar movies.

However it is a long time before I start this module so stay tuned.
